Grid Stability

Spectrum engineers hybrid power stability systems for mini-grids such as those employed on remote islands and isolated communities.

Mini-grids are susceptible to instability introduced by unpredictable renewable energy sources particularly when they represent a high percentage of the grid demand.

We evaluate existing energy systems and interconnections and generate control integration algorithms for both automatic and manual grid stabilization.

Spectrum also designs and implements the control and data acquisition systems infrastructure (SCADA) to achieve automatic stability under all grid conditions.
